It was a star studded night to remember.
The 5th Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel, took place on April 29th at the Expo Centre in Lahore. The event was hosted by Mikaal Zulfiqar and Hareem Farooq. Full of glitz and glamour, the Pakistani celebrities looked breath takingly beautiful on the red carpet.
The show began at around 10:30 pm. The stage looked grand and there were beautiful dance performances by the stars of the industry, some fun filled moments and a lot more.
Yasir Hussain opens the show with a comedy act where he made fun of celebrities like Hamza Ali Abbasi and later taking on Mahira khan and Saba Qamar.
It was a proud moment when Samina Baig, the first Pakistani woman to have climbed Mount Everest, was graced a special award.
The melodious voice of the iconic Salman Ahmed took us back to the nostalgia of the living legend that was once Junaid Jamshed. A great tribute was given by Junaid Jamshed’s sons and Salman Ahmed.
Shahroz Sabzwari shaked it off to the song Lahoriya. It’s always fun to watch him dance with full energy. Later Sahrish Khan joined with a performance on the love letter song.
A sizzling hot second performance was done by Pakistani sweetheart Mehwish Hayat. We couldn’t take our eyes off of her.
Sania Saeed won the Best Supporting Actress for Sang-e-Mar Mar. The award was presented by Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt.
All the senior actors gave a standing ovation to the legendary singer Farida Khanum, who was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
A singing sensation duo Asim Azhar and Momina Mustehsan performed beautifully for the audience. The legendary Sajjad Ali also joined in.
A fun filled moment when Ahmed Ali Butt started roasting Noman Ijaz. Later he took on Humayun Saeed too.
The award for the Best On-screen couple was given to Hamza Ali Abbasi and Maya Ali for MannMayal, where Hamza gave a long acceptance speech remembering kashmiris.
And the last performance of the night was the ever green beauty, Reema Khan. She shows how its done. The touch of traditional moves and elegance were all seen in the performance. We just loved it.
